I was dropped of at the entrance of this village (the last one before the road crosses the mountains to Kalamata) on the 15.02.2013 (friday) around 16:00 and after walking towards the end of the village with a sign (in greek) in my hands someone picked me up ...a dentist from Sparti going once a week to Kalamata. I don't recommend to enter the mountain area as a hitch-hiker as people might not take you being afraid of having no phone connection in emergency case. But I definately recommend you this trip on that road as it is the most beautiful mountain crossing on Peloponnese :-)―Anonymous

OK spot, but traffic might be fast so make yourself seen. Could try a little closer to town to be seen better―Anonymous
