Highway rest area with only a toilet. No restaurant, no petrol station. This is just a warning. Try not to get dropped off here, as there is little to no traffic.There is a restaurant/petrol station 20 kms west from this spot on M3.
(so if you do get dropped off here on your way to Budapest from Ukraine, you could ask the occasional stopping drivers to only take you 20 kms westwards.)

Towards Miskolc, Budapest on M3 highway. This is the on-ramp.Cars come quite fast but they have space and see you from a distance.
If you are coming from the north and your driver is not going in your direction, it is a good option to get off here.
(alternatively you can get off at the roundabout few kilometers earlier)

A big station where all trucks stop when they're going to Slovakia, Hungary, Moldova, Romania and further. Once even the driver asked me first where I'm traveling when I arrived at the station, so it's really very easy. The best time is on Sunday evening because often the road to Slovakia is closed till 10pm and a lot of trucks are waiting for it to be open. There's a nice restaurant and you can exchange currency.―umpalumpa1312

Small station, majority of cars drive to Ukraine, but I was trying to get to Romania, so probably it's easier if you are going to UA. The trucks stop only when they have to take a long 12h break to sleep.―umpalumpa1312

By night, got dropped on the wrong side of the station, walked across the highway by night (absolutely not recommended, hyper dodgy). But then asked cars showing the city name of Nyíregyháza and got a ride with th 3rd car asked.―Jurichezzbmx
