In direction Budapest it’s probably better than any bus stop around because you get all the traffic. There are two lanes so cars can stop kinda safely―Arphile

Thumbing didn't work here. So we tried to ask around. Though this is tough as a non-Hungarian speaker. But that worked for us―LJIsTooShort

Not a good spot towards Budapest or Miskolc. Go to the SW or to the NE end of the bypass road.―Anonymous

Long runway before highway entrance. All cars drive slowly, because of crossroads, and there is plenty of space to stop―Anonymous

Gas station. Traffic wasn't high, but it was Sunday. Direction: highway entrance towards Budapest or Miskolc/Debrecen.―Anonymous

On top of the small hill there is a bus station. Try to hitchhike in front of that, so the cars can easily stop. Good place to get a ride to Budapest.―Anonymous

Good spot towards Debrecen or Miskolc. Get of there if your driver goes another way than you need. Hitchhiked there twice, once it took an hour, once a little shorter, but both times it was Sunday.I met Polish-speaking serviceman there, who was so kind to ask people for taking me, while refueling.
