Definitely i had good luck. Ghere is a temporarly construction site here so there is more space for cars to go. Visibility is really not good just if there is a little traffic jam (like i had). Waited for like 10 minutes after my previous ride (cause i had to make my sign: AKALI).After 3 minutes of stopping car slowed so a vandriver noticed me. As he told it's living van. He made a whole living room in it. Had a great time with him. At akali he went for food, but stopped foe me again when he saw nobody stopped for me.

Pretty comfortable spot, you just have to wait:) I wrote out the sign BALATON. At summer lot of people going this way.Yes, people go a little fast, but not far from here comes in a road where söme cars are coming from, so they a bit slower.
That was my first longer distance ride and i had a great experience. My driver was a translator in the parliament, he travels a lot, he was from upper-class finnancially, he never hitchhiked, has been in a lot of diff countries because of his work. Very nice person, we had a great conversation

We hitched here with my girlfriend. It is not needed to walk this far from the city on route 73. Just stand at the last house in Füredi út, cc. 500 m North from this spot (I cannot add spots on the map), it works perfectly. Ideal towards further towns on the Northern Balaton Coast and for smaller distances, "village to village" hitchhiking. People are lovely around here.―Anonymous

direction: Budapest, M7 motorway.right after the traffic light. not much space to stop, but later on cars getting faster. if traffic is heavy, try waving while they wait for the green light.
