Very good place for direction Macroom, Killarney. Take the bus from the University College to the last station. Ask the driver for the way to the national road. He has to go there anyway and might take you a little further than the last station.―Anonymous

Ask around for lifts towards Dublin or Waterford at the two petrol stations that are here. Most traffic will at least head to the roundabout where the motorway to Dublin starts.―Anonymous

Amazing spot for catching lifts to Dublin - cars are slow as they are just coming out of the roundabout, and there is a huge hard shoulder to pull over into. It's now a motorway, so you might possibly be doing something illegal, though.―Anonymous
