signed for dublin and got lucky with a lift quickly. seems like a good spot at first because drivers can see you from across the crossroads but cars are driving too fast here from the dual carriage way to slow safely, and cars turning from the perpendicular roads are mostly locals. try after the roundabout on the motorway or at the traffic lights before the clinic to the south.―Leslie

Just walk past roundabout at university entrance... plenty of space for cars to pull over. Probably more local traffic than if you hitch from motorway junction, but you should get a ride quicker.―Anonymous

Wide new road with plenty of space to pull over. Hitched to Maynooth from here.―Anonymous

Grassy verge with wooden pillars prevent cars from pulling over very easily/safely. If going to Navan/Tara take the R157 instead!―Anonymous

if trying to get a ride to galway probably better to start closer to m50, near liffey valley sc, but for what this spot is worth good visibility and room to pull over etc, just not a lot of cars going long distance.―Leslie

Direction Galway, Cavan or Dublin. Mostly westbound traffic but I signed for Dublin and got picked up quickly enough even on a wet day.―Leslie
