I hopelessly thumbed while walking from highway pay tolls and some nice guy stopped for me and took to San Severo. This is not a place to stand, but conclusion is that it's better to stay on SS16 than A14―mandat

It took me 2,5h to get a ride only to Foggia. There is not much traffic and most of them going south. Maybe it somehow could work to Bari. Also it seemed to me like they just don't want to take hitchhiker to a highway. Police passed me twice and they didn't care, so at least spot is legal.―mandat

After 1h of waiting police told me to get away from this spot. They didn't care that all roads around are big intersections and there is no place to walk at all, so this spot is safer than any other around. They care about highway not safety, so they wouldn't let me stand on the highway entrance.―mandat
