Not sure what was wrong with this place, probably bad luck. Station is well placed people stops there but most of them do not want to give us a ride. Some folks was going to Florence. We ware trying to get a hike in Rome direction it was very problematic We catch it after 7h of waiting―Wendrowiec

We moved here from the second gas station on this road, the one closer to the autostrada. This place was a bit better maybe, cars had to stop on traffic lights, a car stopped in about 2 hours. A young guy took us halfway to Pisa and bought us train tickets to Pisa feeling sorry that he cannot take us there by himself! Real miracle after standing on that road for 4 hours ;)―Chucker

this 2 gas stations on the highway are connected with a tunnel that you easily access climbing the fence on the back. Check google maps satellite to understand. So if you get a lift here even in the wrong direction you can easily change―Anonymous

Terrible place. There is a gas station just before the autostrada starts. Cars go really fast and apparently it's almost impossible to stop a car in La Spezia! We waited there for like 2 hours heading to Pisa and not one car stopped. Then we moved to the first gas station on this road. at least cars were going slower.―Anonymous
