Not the best spot. Not so much cars going on the way to Bari. Try to get a lift to Masafra. From there, its really easy.―HUNmeszabi

The spot was pretty bad bc it was difficult for people from the main road to stop. I had the chance to be taken by a car getting in, but they were only going not that far away.―lupa

People do see you and there is a lay by for people to pull over. However many persons just go in town or for some reason not really keen on getting you in. I finally got a ride after more than an hour of waiting, which brought me to Lecce my final destination but by then (~1h30 of waiting) I actually had decided to take the bus since the sun was hard....Hitchhiking in East - South Italy doesn't seem to be great :(

Going out of a round about. People could see me quite well. The nice point was that there were a fig tree. I was heading to Taranto but unfortunately the person that gave me a lift was going to bari instead.―lupa
