It’s not great, but it’s Italy. And with it being Italy, it’s actually pretty good!I got there in the afternoon in late January, with a sign reading “Verona”.
I barely got any looks from passing cars, in all the time I was then I think it was two waves at most. But after 45 minutes, Michaela and her young son offered me a ride to Desenzano. As we were driving, her son who spoke English would translate between us, to save me the horror of my broken Italian. She decided that she absolutely refused to drop me at a service station to continue hitching, not because it was dangerous in her eyes, but because she thought it would take too long!
In her eyes, she wanted to take me all the way to Verona, so the best she could do was invite me to her home for lunch, and buy me a train ticked to Verona!
After countless refusals on my behalf, I finally gave in to the hospitality, and had the loveliest afternoon.
“I’ve never had anything like this happen when hitching before!”
“You’re in Italy now.”

The best spot to go back after a day at the lake. From here it's very easy to catch a ride to Iseo but also possible to go to Brescia. Convenient place but the side of the road may be blocked by parked cars in summer.―ahqpey

If you find yourself in Franciacorta outlet this is gonna be one of the few stops to get out. From here it's easier to catch a ride to Brescia although still possibile to go to Iseo. Some people on the roundabout aren't taking the exit so no point in trying to signal them. There's a conad, a gym and a gas station nearby so it's possible to go asking around if someone's headed where you're going. Easier to get out with a sign.―ahqpey

I and my two friends (couple) were waiting for three hours. They've left after that, I've been waiting for half more but still nothing. (From 16:00)―Petrchutny

We were two people. Used sign and asked people. We were trying to go south. After one and a half hour we changed location cause nobody drove southwards, just east and west.―Damanu

From here you can go east, south and west, but towards south is hard cause hardly any one goes there. Most people go to Milano or Verona. We had luck, the first person we asked took us to piacenza.

I asked my ride to leave me here on my way from Milan to Brescia since I didn't want to enter Bergamo. I was surprised to see that many cars were passing through this gas station even on a Sunday night.Eventually got picked up all the way to Brescia relatively quickly.
P.S. On this Autogrill I came upon a couple of foreign backpackers that were headed to Venezia. They were standing with a sign on the entrance to the gas station, which didn't bring them much success since I found actually asking the drivers in simple Italian way more profitable.

This looks to be the most obvious way to get out of Brescia and from here you can go to any direction you want.To get here you can just take a short walk from Volta metro. There will be a gas station and when you walk past it, you will come across a comfy side of the road that seems great for HH, at least in theory. In reality though, despite a decent amount of traffic, it can be extremely hard to stop anybody here (especially without a sign).
If you get frustrated after waiting for a long time, I can recommend checking out the two gas stations on either side of the roundabout for any cars that may potentially go in your desired direction.
I rate this spot 4/5 just because it is one of the very few ways to get out of Brescia.
P.S. I'm going to post other ways to HH out of the city after I've discovered them. Look for any recent updates

Nice and pretty much the only stop when heading from Brescia in the direction of Iseo. Easy to get here by taking the bus №3 from Stazione FS. Lots of people headed to the Franciacorta outlet, especially on the weekends.―ahqpey

Lots of traffic but not many wanting to drive me to Venice. Went to the exit and waited there instead of asking. Got a quick ride to Brescia. A working said it was a hard spot but I didn’t find it to bad―MrZachyPants
