got here at the start of the evening. hitchhiked as two men, had a sign with “A22-NORTH” and also the thumb. not too much traffic but got a ride to trento after waiting a bit

Cars can easily see you and stop on the Right

Not the best spot. It’s in front of the police station and people usually rush to the highway. Also not so much traffic and more people go to Milano then to Venezia

Most people went back up to Germany but I got lucky and found a truck driver who went to Milano

Found a ride going East that dropped me off at the San Bonifacio Autogrill.
Many cars passing by but very few stopped. There’s a bit of space for them to stop by the station but limited visibility and they ride fast as well.
Probably the best option to leave the city going East though.

Good place for hitchhiking. You can stop just after the traffic lights and pedestrian crossing. There is plenty of place for cars to stop, they go slowly and all of them leave the airport. I had Bolzano/Verona sign and after 10 mins I got a very nice ride to Trent

We got very lucky, getting picked up by an off duty police officer. Don’t recommend this place going south, unless you need to. North is properly pretty good

After I stayed 150min next to the toll station A4 I went to this (quiet big) roundabout to get northwards. At First I only had a sign with "Brennero A22" on it, but after some time where no one stopped I changed it to "Affi", because it was way more near than Brennero. While I was going to the Aldi buying food and asking around, two cars crashed right where I stood 30min before. As the police drove away an the street has been cleaned, I tried it there a second time. A Italian guy stopped and took me to Trento instead of Affi. This spot is the best for going northwards, but maybe not the safest.

We were little lucky that one truck took us straight to Milano. This is a good spot even for trucks to stop.

Reached by a hole in a small fence. Staff on the station cared about us, gave us plastic bottle full of water:)

One of the worst places to stop. We were there about 3 hours, tried multiple spots near the bod, even on the other side near to the petrol station. It was horribly hot, most of the cars coldn’t see us properly, standing next to Italian police… Very bad place to stop, avoid it all costs.

We were lucky this time we were litteraly arriving by foot to the spot and managed to stop a car to Verona right then and there.

The thing is everything points to if your going to Verona from Trento THIS IS THE SPOT ( we were lucky but it still is)

Over all in Italy the highway entry fee spots are the best! ;)
