There is a toll station where cars go either in the direction of Milan or Torino.I tried for two hours to catch a car in the direction of Torino but without success.
End the end I walked to the near motorway service area, but it was quite dangerous and I can't recommend it.

We were taken in 10 minutes there to Torino. I explain on the wiki how to reach the station, as we took some risks the time we tried to go there.―Anonymous

Best place to hitch towards West (Torino, France etc). Got a ride to next bigger Autogrill. Easy access as well - metro, bit of walking and through the turnstile for pedestrians.―Eha

The spot is great. Both sides of the highway are connected together, so you can change the direction just by walking over the highway.Easy to go from here to Milano. My destination was Abbiategrasso and I also got direct ride to this place from here.

If you want to go towards Torino, we waited a long time before someone told us to better try around the entrance of the highway. Few people were stopping, and we were told it is because of the petrol station of the highway (that we manage to reach then).―Anonymous

Perfect spot(not on hight way), is a small station, there is a bar where I asked for a box paper for my sign. There is a lot of space for cars to see you and stop, is better using your thumb on the road. A guy bring me to the next station gas―Giulio

The point is this. Yhis all area is a shit area. I spent hours oround there searching for hope. My intent was to take the highway for torin but was very difficult. This spot was not signed but is the only good spot near by. If you are lucky you can meet someone who goes to milan or torin. A guy pick me up and drop me near Novara in a gas station. Best option considereting the bad area.―Giulio
