here you could take a bus to KaraBalta or Sosnovka's turn because h-hiking here almost senceless. 50 soms~1USD(2010) will save many hours of waiting

I agree, get out of Bishkek by bus saves you time.

There are many taxis and minibuses going in this direction. Although the minibus is cheap, almost all cars go to Bishkek. You may try your chance and wait for one. Explain the driver that you are HHing, not carpooling.

Exellent and cheap way to escape Bishkek. Lots of buses from Alamedin market for 15 soms. Traffic light makes cars slow and more friendly.

Good spot to hitchhike to Ala archa mountains. If you're short on time just take a bus towards Baytik (30 som, around 0.3 euro). From there is really easy.

Not great. I ended up explaining my situation to a shared taxi driver (kapusta pusta - the cabbage ist empty aka I got no money) and he took me up the road. Maybe it's better to pay for the short ride and go from there.

You gotta fend off a few taxis and most drivers ask for money. There is a small shop with a friendly guy to resupply. After 10min I got a ride. Pretty good spot, just stand after the Bus stop.
