It looks like bad hitchhiking spot, but if you have a sign and reflectors, it actually pretty good. A lot of cars going to Palanga, and it make sense to accept short ride and get further on the way to Liepaja―estasbien

Iconic hitchhiking spot. A lot of place to stop for the car, but the speed of cars ir fast, so use you sign. Easy rides to Klaipeda, but it's possible to get a car to Riga as well.―estasbien

Got a ride directly to Latvia, just before Liepaja. A lot of LT cars are going to the campings near Liepaja during the summer and it's never should wait a long time here to get a ride.―estasbien

Perfect place, just check the ferry arrival times, lots of trucks to Latvia and Estonia.―ChristianaSammal

Bad spot for hitchhiking as speed is very fast, but drivers can see you from far away. After almost an hour of waiting got a ride to Kaunas―estasbien

Not a best spot for stopping a car, but cars go relatively slow and they are ok to stop even if there is no place for this. If you are dropped here, do not worry - you will get a ride pretty fast.―estasbien

A lot of local traffic. Make sense to get a lift for the next spot along A1. Sign doesn't help too much as a almost all the cars go short distance.―estasbien

Very safe and easy to reach spot. Many cars going to LT direction Klaipēda and Palanga―estasbien

tiresome to ask around, and I got very lucky with the driver. try better at the city exit.―AleksP

a bit of traffic. haven't tried to go deeper, maybe it's better as people suggest.had a feeling that no one was going to kaunas/vilnius

very convenient spot to get to Klaipeda/Latvia.to conveniently get to the place take bus 32 until "9-ojo forto muziejus" bus stop from the city centre. costs 1 Euro but you can not pay if you're greedy, no one checks anyway.

You have to put in the work yourself, meaning if you (for example) want to get to Kaunas, then go up to the truck drivers that have allready stopped and just ask them if they want to take you, otherwise kind of hard to pull the cars off the highway into the gas station to pick you up―Kyaarlis

You have a bus stop somewhere here and a light. so it's possible to get a lift to Nida or even Kalliningrad anytime here.―Anonymous
