Super busy gas station when I was there. Ask couple people and instantly got a ride to Vilnius. Or you can just stand at the exit if you want there enough traffic for it. Idk how much cars go to Kaunas but I can imagine you find some for sure―kiausiniuvagis

Right after the roundabout there’s a little bit of space to pull over though its technically walkway, not enough for a truck but enough for a car. That way you can catch all the traffic going to Lithuania, as many people stop at the store across the street and there’s no where else to catch them. Only took me about 20-30 minutes to get a ride all the way to Kaunas. Nice couple.―Anonymous

I would say the best spot into riga direction but i would recommend first trying to get to panevezys and then to riga because i dont think there is a lot of cars going straight to riga. But try to get to circle k after panevezys because its the most popular gas station. And getting off earlier will mean you will likely get a bit stuck―kiausiniuvagis

Was asking everyone if they were going to Vilnius in Friday evening and most of the rraffic was going still to Kaunas and other towns around. But we found a guy after 15 minutes that goes. I am lithuanian so maybe that helped but every person was very friednly in answering me. Not the usual sight when i use english in other places―kiausiniuvagis

lots and lots of cars, which is a bit bad, because they can't change lanes, and when coming out of a dark tunnel they barely see you and struggle to make a decision.
still got a ride and it's worth it because it's a city centre.

One male 40+, with a sign "VILNIUS" , one big and one small backpacks, dry but cloudy day. Going to Vilnius.A very good space. A bus stop, with enough space even for a truck to squeeze in. Just before 9 in the morning. A perfect traffic, a car every 20-30 seconds. A van stopped after 15-20 minutes of waiting and took me all the way to Vilnius.
I got to this spot walking from the centre of Bauska.

Here is a good spot because drivers have space for stopping. I stayed there with the sign : PANEVEZYS that vice-versa was VILNIUS, after 20 minutes of waiting one truck driver stopped when I showed sign PANEVEZYS, after he saw another side of my paperboard, he said that he could move me to Vilnius, and we go nice.―Roman21
