I only asked Dutch license plates. Direct ride to the Netherlands.

Not a lot of traffic going south to Luxembourg but we got lucky and hitched a ride in less than 10 minutes

Fantastic spot to get to Belgium but be careful when walked from the Capellen station, there was a fence and closed gate. It was not an easy climb.

A lot of cars from Arlon (Belgium) travel every day to Luxembourg city :)) Just go to the highway out of town or to the old road connecting the two cities :)

Big petrol station with plenty of traffic to B and NL. You get here by taking the train to Capellen (4th stop from Luxembourg station), a short walk and an easy climb over a fence.

Not a perfect spot, but you'll get a lift towards Brussels at some point.

Bastogne-Arlon over N4 is much shorter and hardly longer in time than over the E25/A25 motorway. Belgian drivers know that, stubborn old Dutch drivers (who don't take hitchhikers) don't. You don't miss any petrol station on the E25 this way, and yes, Martelange has 20+ of them. Lot of transit traffic here.

So far the worst experience. Noone wanted to even take us to Belgium. Got a ride after 3h.

Excellent spot. Was here twice, and both times I got a direct lift to my destination (Brussels and Maaseik)
