If you're heading to Palenque, it is worth putting yourself on the left side of the bump. Right lane seem to be more cars heading to Comitán.Got a ride from a pick-up after shooting at him "Rancho Nuevo". Nice guy positive about my trip !

This was my first hitch spot in Mexico. I think I walked for maybe five minutes before I was picked up to get back to San Cristóbal. Little buses (colectivos) came by constantly too, but putting my thumb down when they went by saved me 10 pesos in the end.―Anonymous
