First about the border crossing. You can cross it on foot without any problem, I crossed it from Transinistria to Moldova yesterday in the evening because I could stay in Transinistria only for 12 hours without accommodation and I wanted to wildcamp which I did on Moldovan side of border on small grass area in forest next to main road but when I wanted to go back to transinistria in the morning guards had problems with me carrying a pepper spray and told me that I need to throw it away if I want to cross border. As in Moldova and Transinistria a like there are a lot of stray dogs that quite often are aggressive I didn't wanted to be without anything to defend myself so I decided to go back to Moldova. Now description of spot itself starts, there is place to stop almost everywhere on that road between border control and bridge. I just stayed in the only place that had any shadow in the morning and was close to border control. Cars goes slow after border and I quickly got ride to Chisinau city center―Autostopeks

There is some space for stopping a car and speeds are low. Not the biggest traffic but also not too bad. They are like 3 spots good for hitchhiking little bit before that including one marked on map but they were all occupied by local hitchhikers so I went here―Autostopeks

One male 40+, no sign, one big backpack, a very sunny day. On my way from Dubasari to Ribnica (successful). There is shade. The trafic is slow (a car every 2 minutes). There is space to pull over (a gravel bay). Across the road there is a bus stop. So I guess the busses stop on that side of the road as well. Great visibility.
After 10 minutes a friendly, older couple took me to Ribnica. They were trying to invite me for some food. I didn't want to overuse their kindness so I refused. In the end I agreed to have a small glass of kvas with them.

One male 40+, no sign, one big backpack, a very sunny day. On my way from Dubasari to Ribnica (successful). There is shade. The trafic is slow (a car every 2 minutes). There is a double lane, so even without a bay there is space to stop. Great visibility.
After 15 minutes an off-duty cop gave me a lift, 1/3 of the distance to Ribnica.

One male 40+, no sign, one big backpack, a sunny day. On my way from Tyraspol to Dubasari. It was an extra lane, which was an exit from the petrol station. I was standing towards the end of it. No shade. Very good visibility.
After 8 minutes I was in a car, on my way to Dubasari.

Not recommendable. I wanted to cross at another place, where I passed by, because a local told me this border crossing was easier and it was shorter to get to Chisinau. But almost only trucks and few cars for local traffic, sometimes a mashrutka. After 1.5 hrs the police asked a mashrutka to take me, so finally I got out of there. Male with sign―Merl

Locals indeed seem to know this spot. Got a ride quickly north, but maybe also some luck because he had seen me standing in Tiraspol one hour earlier when someone already stopped to pick me up there. Single guy with sign―Merl

Border-crossing with very low traffic. The border police might be bored and entertain you with questions, and eventually they will let you pass through without trouble. They might appreciate a little bribe, and they will let you know. If you give them the equivalent of one Euro, they will be happy with it.You can cross on foot.

I got dropped off at the exit and started walking on this road. Not many cars but feels like every one that passes is likely to pick you up.―doktorgonzo

I was walking back from Trebujeni and thumbing, very low traffic here but cars have a good chance of stopping for you―doktorgonzo
