Got ride to Bendery city center almost instantly. Litteraly third car stopped but I think I was just lucky aldo spot looks really nice. You can sleep in a forest nearby but be aware of dogs. One came to me in the morning and started barking at my tent but as I was inside I just waited till he got bored and only when I didn't heard any dogs outside (and you will hear their movement even if they are quiet because of a lot of trashes and sticks in that forest) I only came out of my tent. It was my third night here and first time I had such situation but be aware of possibility and maybe set up tent further away from path (I put it quite close because of my lazynes). Also they don't let people without plane ticket to the airport which is sad because one year ago you could go there freely to use free toilet and charge your phone but check that as it may change in future

One male 40+, no sign, one big backpack, a sunny day. On my way from Chisinau to Tyraspol (successful).
I got dropped off at the airport and I made unnecessary long walk all the way to here. No need to do that. Just after the airport are much better spots.
This spot is some sort of extra lane between the ramp joining the road and the entry to the petrol station.
Surprisingly busy traffic. Many marshrutkas. No shade. Good visibility.
I didn't like that spot. But despite of it I quickly, after 10 minutes, got a ride to Anenii Noi (21 kms), where I got a ride to Bandery within minutes.

One male 40+, no sign, one big backpack, a sunny day. On my way from Chisinau to Tyraspol (successful).
After the petrol station, where a triple lane was narrowing into a double lane. The end of the 3rd lane was a good place for cars to pull over. Good visibility. There was shade. Busy traffic, cars come in waves due to the traffic lights just a bit before.
After 10 minutes I got not long, but useful ride to the Chisinau airport.

One male 40+, no sign, one big backpack, a sunny day. On my way from Moinești in Romania to Chisinau in Moldova (successful).
I got a long ride from Romania. Unfortunately the driver wasn't going all the way to Chisinau and he dropped here, 15 kms before the capital.
I was a bit in a pickle, coz I didn't have local money to pay for a public transport. And it was maybe the last 15 minutes before the sunset. So it looked like a long way ahead of me.
Lucky I got a ride in 5 minutes. There is a nice tarmac bay in front of a closed petrol station. The visibility is also very good.

One male 40+, no sign, one big backpack, a very sunny day. On my way from Moinești in Romania to Chisinau in Moldova (successful).
A very good spot. Good visibility. A big tarmac bay (which I think is also a bus stop) after a roundabout. So cars go slowly, see you well and have place to stop. I was only surprised at a low level of traffic. I was hoping that when I join this Bukarest-Chisinau roads it'd be more busy.
It was getting late, so I started thinking that I wouldn't make it to Chisinau that day. But after 30 minutes a guy stopped and it turned out that he was going to Chisinau. Well, almost to Chisinau.

Got insanely lucky with a ride all the way to Tulcea after 10min with a Romanian couple. Male, couldn't even write a sign before someone already stopped

Took still some time, but not sure if there is a better place than this to Tiraspol. Got a ride with a guy from Tiraspol after around 45min. Single guy with sign

Stood with a sign saying Tiraspol in Cyrillic (Тирасполь), a guy took me to Bender and then I took the trolley to Tiraspol for 4 PMR rubles (less than 25 euro cents)

Not a particularly busy road. I suppose we got lucky (the 3rd car picked us up).

As of 2014 the trolley station is called Gradina Botanica and it is the final station of trolley 22.

I prefer to stand just before the bus station so you're not hitching with all the locals. Sign for Romania got me picked up to a better spot on the road to the border within 15 minutes.

Great spot, got a ride across the border to Romania within 20 minutes from here, from a guy who could've taken me all the way to Antwerp (Belgium).

To Odessa, Bender, Tiraspol, Causeni. You can get here using a bus Nr.122, trolley Nr.22, 18 . Bus stop PORTILE ORASULUI. A lot of cars, but almoust no trucks, because for them tranzit through Chisinau is not existing anymore.
