Stood with a sign saying Tiraspol in Cyrillic (Тирасполь), a guy took me to Bender and then I took the trolley to Tiraspol for 4 PMR rubles (less than 25 euro cents)

To Odessa, Bender, Tiraspol, Causeni. You can get here using a bus Nr.122, trolley Nr.22, 18 . Bus stop PORTILE ORASULUI. A lot of cars, but almoust no trucks, because for them tranzit through Chisinau is not existing anymore.

Great spot to Moldova. Many locals from all backgrounds travel together here in busses. Russians, Romanians, Moldovans and Ukrainiansm Don't bother using a sign, it's expected to talk to people who park there for several reasons. They are very willing to help you find a ride. Use Google translate if you don't speak the language. You will need a passport to enter Moldova and be prepared to wait at the border, but it is truly worth it. A friend and I waited for 90 minutes, most buses were full but we got great help. At the end a Moldovan tour bus took us with them through northern Moldova all the way to Chisinau, for free without any problems.

Perfect spot when you are going to Chisinau. There is a place for cars to stop here.

If you are not lucky, there are many mini buses that will always stop if you show your thumb

Amazing spot for diverse travels. We had a place to be - hence the longer time - but we got offered rides to nearby cities, as well as cities like Kyiv and eventually all the way to Moldova

So, the Spot itself is okey. Our Problem was that we arrived close to sunset. Most Drivers where in Drucks with only one seat to offer. But we were two travelers. Still found somebody. Remember to download Romanian, Cause not everybody understand English. Got a ride on a minifridge in a Diesel truck to chisinau with a sign Saying "Moldova". Was an adventure. To my fellow females: I was traveling with a men. Idk if I can recommend this spot. It is in the middle of nowhere and the Druck Drivers who picked us up, was in my opinion not the safest men to be around by yourself. Be safe.

No regular cars took us but after 20 min a bus going to Chisinau stopped and took us there for ~10€ per person. Not hitchhiking per se but practical.

Me and Moldovan babushka Anna did the ol’ Double Trouble Bait-and-Switch method, where she stood by the side of road while I sat behind a bush, emerging only when a hapless driver stopped, thinking he was helping out an elderly woman in need, only for that elderly woman to be joined by a smelly, dirt-covered American who could speak than ten words of Russian. Anyhow, it’s a good spot.
