I was wary of the speed of traffic further up the road. Not a many cars here but they’re still heading Tangier way. A kid came by and wagged his finger to help me hail a car, it worked. Thanks mate

Most traffic is heading out of town here. Decent enough space to stop

Good spot to go to Tanger. Unfortunately I had to pay for ride but that's mostly because I was to tired to fight for free ride after spending night under a bridge and before that escaping guy who wanted to have a gay sex with me but if you have energy to try to get a free ride this spot is definitely good (Aldo I've marked that I used thumb I actually used Arabic form of it which is pointing at the road with my forefinger)

Ĝi estis nia unua veturo kun virino en Maroko, tre interesa, kaj ankaŭ nia lasta veturo en Maroko, eĉ pli interesa. De tiam, Chay ne plu havis tiom da pacienco ĉar lia amatino diris, ke li devas alveni al Eŭropo antaŭ la sekva tago, do li pagis por la sekvaj taksioj, kiuj estis tre malmultekostaj.

Malgranda buso konsentis veturigi nin pli antaŭen kaj lasis nin ĉe la trafikcirklo.

Spot itself not the best, but Moroccans will stop. Two guys were heading to Tetouan, which was great as we were heading to the Blue City.

SPAIN / MOROCCO FRONTIER
HARD CROSSING DUE TO THE CROWD
DIRECTION TETOUAN / ALGECIRAS
Sign : Ask direcly to drivers, a lot are dissatisfied about the frontier system and because there is too much people screaming, crying, waiting hours for visas... It's a very hard point to hitchhike.
Position : For the south, maybe walk a little after the taxi parking and put your sign... it will be more quiet

WELCOME TO MOROCCO !
DIRECTION TETOUAN
I think that's the less bad place of the frontier. Just stop hitchhike when there is taxi
Sign : "Tetouan / no taxi, shukran (Thanks)"
Waiting : 30-50 min
Speed : 40-50 Km/h
Traffic : 15 cars / min - High

HUGE TAXI PARKING - They very hard in business, don't go here, too boring propositions, too expensive price... If you really wan to do business, don't accept more than 30 dihrams for go to Tetouan.

From this spot in front of the petrol station we found a lift after 15 minutes that took us straight to Assilah. Lot of traffic and room for the cars to pull over, and a roundabout to slow them down. Cons: far from the center.

Maybe I was not lucky!!! Also I was with dust around and under the sun, I got a bus, just 2.5 euros to Chefchaouen...
