Got away very quickly but also very lucky.
Only a ride to the next big gas station (with MacDonald's) under Holten

Okay spot, but not very great.
Best to ask around, I stood at the end of both ways to catch all the cars leaving the spot. Got a ride that went to Hamburg but I got off before Osnabrück

We were standing just after the traffic lights, on the onramp. Got a lift to a petrolstation on the A1, which was good!

Bus stop in front of the gas station. Sheltered from the rain under the roof of the station while hitching the passing traffic. Used sign "Enschede". Waited 3 mins for a driver that took a detour to drop me a the station.

I walked here from the A35 oframp because I had no confidence of finding a ride going east there. It paid of after 18minutes. Could use a sign "Lonnekemeer" for the next gas station.

Parking bay on the N18. May feel dodgy but people see you from a good distance. Be aware that after Haaksbergen there or no more good hitchhiking places on the N18 so it might make sense to wait a bit longer to find the perfect ride for you direction.

Ukranian truck driver picked me up and drove me almost to the German border. Very easy, just go up to people.

Very bad spot. Almost 0 traffic stopping on a Saturday afternoon. It took us a very long time to find a hitchhike to the border of Germany

Only local traffic. We were even lucky to catch a hitchhike to the next petrol station

Many cars were going to neighbouring towns. It was very hard to even leave the petrol station, so we just took a hitchhiker to the next petrol station

If you get dropped of on the parking on either side and want to go into Enschede: Walk along the highway, under the viaduct, than climb it on the other side.

Its an good Place to get on the Highway to Amsterdam. The people on the Right lane have to stop every Minute because of the Traffic lights and then you can ask them
