awesome spot, lots of traffic, barely any wait time and the guy who took me was super chill and even took a detour to bring me to Utrecht Centrum.

Police send me away within 5 minutes. Not allowed to stand on hard shoulder on on-ramp he said

Hard shoulder next to on ramp. Cars see you last minute because of bended road. Worked anyway.

This is the official hitch hike spot (sign on pole). Space for cars to stop. Lots of traffic. Always good to get direction east. I used sign Amersfoort.

Hard shoulder next to on ramp. I used sign Amersfoort, but accepted lift to Utrecht. 3 police cars passed by, none bothered to stop.

Friendly guy stops right in the middle of the street, I was also red light so he didn’t care much (although, people were honking). Took me straight to Utrecht. Thank you!

Asked around, and some people were willing to help, but weren't going the right direction. After 20min found someone going direction of Amsterdam, who dropped me on a great resting spot/petrol station next to the highway there.

My final hike in this trip: A very nice Holland man came up to me (oh magic) and offered me the lift to Haag, but I prefered waiting a lift to Amsterdan, and he changed his route and dropped me at Bussum, and I blackrode the train to central station in the late afternoon, guessed everybody was offwork, sorry)... and there is wifi here

After the bad luck on the official spot in Amsterdam, here we did not even started hitchhiking and guy came asking where we are going and took us all the way behind Groningen. He was himself and experienced hitchhiker.

Official hitchhiking spot but well...at least on our day, everyone was going just around. In the end we made sign Muiden and a car took us away from this place

Enough space. Almost all traffic comes from the south.
