A tree gave me shelter from the sun at the end of the petrole station, would have more chance asking directly to people I guess―Adrien44

Waited at the end of the station, a tree giving shelter from the sun, maybe I'll have best luck asking directly at the station. At least it worked!―Adrien44

Stood there under the heatwave but didn't wait long with a pannel Almare for a car to stop. M'y goal was to reach the first pétrole station to get a longer lift to Germany. I guess the pannel was useful. Didn't see any cops thought―Adrien44

This is the official hitch hike spot (sign on pole). Space for cars to stop. Lots of traffic. Always good to get direction east. I used sign Amersfoort.―Splunt

Hard shoulder next to on ramp. I used sign Amersfoort, but accepted lift to Utrecht. 3 police cars passed by, none bothered to stop.―Splunt

Really nice spot, real visible and as someone said, lot of space for cars to stop. But be careful, you’re practically on a highway.―Jo

Friendly guy stops right in the middle of the street, I was also red light so he didn’t care much (although, people were honking). Took me straight to Utrecht. Thank you!―Jo

Asked around, and some people were willing to help, but weren't going the right direction. After 20min found someone going direction of Amsterdam, who dropped me on a great resting spot/petrol station next to the highway there.―Anonymous
