Perfect spot to get a ride to the south/east
I usually park my bike in city near bar, walking 10min to this petrol station and it always nicely works here

Hard shoulder next to long on ramp. With sign Hengelo waiting most times 5-30 minutes. Also possible when dark because of lightpoles

Short hard shoulder just after traffic lights. Long enough to stop safe. Cars coming from highway or Zutphen can see you. I used it with sign Deventer to get to center. Always worked well after 10-30 minutes

Bus stop. Most cars going towards highway, not much traffic going east. Worked with sign Deventer after 1 hour

Hard shoulder next to on ramp. Cars see you last minute because of bended road. Worked anyway.

Got away very quickly but also very lucky.
Only a ride to the next big gas station (with MacDonald's) under Holten

We asked around the parking lot and like 6th car driver was from Turkey driving truck with fish to Rotterdam so we waited with him until his pauze ended and then enjoyed great ride, singing and eat some turkish meals with him while driving to Neatherlans.

Keep pushing the pedestrian crossing button to force drivers to stop. They can turn into the carpool parking.
Used sign "Zutphen". Got dropped at the station with 5 minutes before my train left.

I didn't wait for the perfect ride, just took one that went east.
It's not a BP station anymore so things people wrote before me might not apply anymore.

A lot of traffic, but not many people wanting to take me. Got a ride with an adult guy and his mum, they were heading to The Hague, and I was going to Apeldoorn, which was directly on the way. They were nice enough to drop me in the centre, even though I'd have been happy to figure it out from the outskirts

It took longer for me to walk here from my accommodation than to get a ride.

Many cars were going to neighbouring towns. It was very hard to even leave the petrol station, so we just took a hitchhiker to the next petrol station

Just when we got off, we directly found a new hitchhiker to Apeldoorn. It did not take more then 2 minutes, incredible!

I dont know how to reach this spot by public transport (was dropped off there), but it is a great place to get to Zwolle using the A50. Lot of traffic, passing very closely, driving slowly. Stood there only a couple of minutes!
