I'm living in emmen and always starting my hitchhiking trip to the south from here, I normally have to wait a maximum of 15 minutes but usually one of the first cars pick me up. Normally I refuse cars that don't go as far as zwolle, because this is my favourite spot on this track and it's easy to find one.―Angelobraam

good spot for going towards Zwolle. you can take a bus from emmen centre (bus 21 to assen) to the oude rijksweg and walk back for about 10 min. or alternatively you can walk over he emmerweg(start next to zoo parking lot) and hitch with the cars that are passing, usualy takes half an hour+ to get a ride to this spot. and otherwise you walked al the way.―Anonymous

this is an ok spot to go towards bremen or hamburg, i got a ride to the onroad of the A1 at cloppenburg from here. was about half an hour wait.there is an bus stop from emmen called koriander. from emmen bus 43 and walk back towards the shell gasstation.

Nice spot towards Hoogeveen/Zwolle, not that much traffic but got i ride in 30 minutes to Zwolle from here. From Emmen take bus 43 to Koriander in Klazienaveen and walk back to this spot.―Anonymous
