A guy and a girl on a Saturday at noon, without a sign. There is enough space for cars to stop, but the cars go quite fast here.

Many traffic, late afternoon, everybody was heading home after work but nobody stopped, waited one hour until a Norwegian lady brought me to the ferry!

I waited only 2 minutes this day, but I was lucky! Expect to wait one hour.

Waiting already for 2 hours, no success.

I'm not sure how bad is this spot because I was lucky (the first car stopped). You can try to wait opposite the gas station at the beginning of this road (500 meters south from here).

I didn't try this place because I think it's not okay. There's no place for cars to stop plus some people only go to the gas station then go back to the main road (road 5).

Good spot for getting to Oslo, Førde and deeper into Sogn og fjordene.

Perfect place to wait on the direction to Ålesund or Førde. Warning: there's no shelter to cover your backpack in a rainy day.

Plenty of space for cars to stop

Spot to wait on the way north to Gaupne / Luster / Lom. Cars have plenty of space to stop but it's a bit tricky / dangerous because just after a curve so they will see at the last moment.
