This is usally my first stop on the way from Wroclaw to Germany. Next to a petrol station. Not unusual to get a direct lift from here to Berlin or Dresden.―Anonymous

We were standing on the gas station. The staff told us not to hitchhike hire, so we moved just a little on the roadside in front of the bar, which does not belong to the gas station anymore. In 10 minutes we (2 boys) got a ride to Berlin. The traffic on A4 seems a bit bigger towards Dresden and Leipzig, though.―Wolak

you never know. once it was 15 minutes (asked a driver, got a direct superfast ride to Goerlitz), once it was an hour (a truck stopped on the emergency lane for 1 minute to do other business, and I used the opportunity). people are friendly and stop eagerly when you're thumbing, but often go only for a short distance (Boleslawiec).―Anonymous
