One of the best places to hitchhike near Katowice. We planned to go in the direction of Ostrava in the further Budapest and we managed to catch the driver to Vienna. Overall, a great place to catch a foot in the direction of Wroclaw, Berlin, Vienna. It is worth going to the parking lot and asking people where they are going - a lot of individual drivers and trucks.―Moonhans

There is not a lot of cars willing to take 2 people, usually they had full cars. There is not much cars and the spot is in the sun. We stayed with two signs: Wien and Bratislava, which i recommend. Some trucks were comming to Budapest―Anonymous

The problem is the spot is near the city cetre, so a lot of cars going just somwhere near, but I don´t see any better option to hitchhike to Czech Republic from Katowice. Maybe it is worth to wait a little longer, because we took lift in 10 minutes and it was not so far, then we had problems to get away from that other place.―Paja
