Used this spot to get out of Lisbon for scenery/coastal road hh. A bit of a hike though from train station (1.5e to Sintra from Lisbon).―Anonymous

The main problem of this spot seems to me to be that the kind of people driving by are doing short distance rides and don't seem to want to stop for someone they don't know. But there are also nice and interesting persons willing to stop and, luckily, they'll get you directly to Lisbon! So it really depends on your luck. The road has many crosspoints, so be sure you're in the correct one, whether you want to go to Lisbon or the Cascais part.―Anonymous

Cars are going to the highway so we swore standing just next to the entrance. Not so many cars were going direction to Porto but the first car that pulled over was ours. We were two girls. Will recommend this spot in case of emergency―Anonymous
