One male 40+, no sign, one big backpack, a sunny day. On my way from the lake Uzului to Miercurea Ciuc.I got dropped a couple of kms south of here and I walked up north in search of a good spot. I picked this one.
There was no shade. Enough space to stop. But I think it was still too urban area. Many taxis passing by and the drivers showing they go only here. After 45 successful minutes I decided to move farther up north, more out of the city. I changed my t-shirt and I was putting my backpack on, still signalling with a thumb the passing car, when one couple stopped and gave me a short (but very needed) ride. So I got superb lucky 😃

One male 40+, no sign, one big backpack, a sunny day. On my way from here to Miercurea Ciuc (successful).After the unsuccessful attempt to get to Miercurea Ciuc via gravel road westbound I decided to go back to my initial plan of going via the 12A road (trough Ghimeş).
It was a good decision. I started walking east in search of a good spot. In less than 5 minutes the first car passing by (I was still walking) took me to Comănești.

I was planning to take the 12A road (trough Ghimeş). But one local guy convinced me to take this gravel road shortcut. If a local say so, he knows what he is talking about,right? It turned out not necessarily. I gave it a shot. But after waiting half an hour (14:10 - 14:40) when not a single car passed me I gave up. I decided to go with my original plan which worked.

One male 40+, no sign, one big backpack, a sunny day. On my way from here to the lake Uzului.Quite a good spot. Loads of space to stop (some sort of a car park). Good visibility despite being in a curve. There was shade.
I got very lucky. Not only I got a ride within 5 minutes, on top of that the driver knew a bit my host (BeWelcome) to which I was going to. He called him and they organised all logistics. My driver dropped me by the dam and my host drove 5 kms and picked me up there. Gold 😁
