I tried to hitch a ride from somwhere here to moscow. It was quite difficult and I couldn't really find a good place to stand. It's probably best to stand at some of the cross walks. It was also not really worth it to walk on towards the hill to make use of the natural slow down. There's less space and cars are as fast. If you end up here just be patient and within an hour you'll get your lift ;)―Anonymous

From here I hitched a ride to Bologoye to visit Alexey (CS) and have a stopover while hitchhiking from St Petersburg to Moscow.I didn't have to wait for more than 10 minutes.
