I think here is not a bad spot but try to get a lift to at least Tver or a gas station far from Moscow where you can catch some truck doing long distance. Maybe it's even better to take a train that goes far away from the city to start HH, incredible amount of local traffic. I did the mistake to accept a ride from a actually good guy, Vladimir, but I lost almost 2-3 hours with him because I thought he was going to Saint Petersburg and he invited me, showed me around etc. He dropped me in a empty gas station where most of people again were locals.―cavalierrustique

a little bit of traffic, but they definitely go to M11, and chances are that 50% go to Moscow and 50% to St.Petersburg. So if you are stuck in Solnechnogorsk and need to escape it, take the 21/34/27 bus till the graveyard and then just go to the tollgates. ask for gas station along m11 if they dont want to take you far away.―AleksP
