there is a bus station, enough place to stop and cars are slow after the junction. Good place to Sahy or HU, but keep in mind that there is quite low traffic all the time

Big highway rest area.

Good transit spot, you can get to Bratislava, Nitra, even south to Nove Zamky

Actually it turns out, that the newly built highway rest area "Pohranice" right before Nitra is much more popular now.

So if you are going towards Bratislava, and your driver goes just to Nitra, it is better to get out not here but on "Slovaft Pohranice" rest area.

Wednesday lunchtime was a perfect time to hitchhike from here. A lot of traffic going towards Nitra and Bratislava.

Unfortunately most of the cars in my case were posh rich Bratislava people who were not willing to stop. 20 minute waittime. Hitchhiking on the road before the ramp.

Quite a funnel here from towns below to the highway. All the Bratislava and Nitra traffic turns left, and all Zvolen traffic goes straight. It should be really easy to get to Nitra and Bratislava, in that case stand after the turn. I went towards Zvolen which meant much less traffic there.
