The spot is not bad, there are definitely cars heading to Celje or Ljubljana, but not much traffic to Zagreb. The traffic is too fast to stop, but the cars often stop at the red light. We (a guy and a girl) stood with two signs Zagreb and Ptuj. We got taken to Ptuj and the driver said that he was going elsewhere, but he changed his way to take us to Ptuj.

Truck stoped me after while (something around 1 hour). He was going to Cejle but he had stop at Slovenska Bistrica, and i tought it would be better then Cejle.

Excellent Spot. A good place for cars to pullover and you will only be catching traffic heading to either Ljubljana or Maribor. I would say that it works for both directions, but best for Maribor, as Ljub. traffic is in the left lane. Use a sign. 20 yo male and female and we got picked up in like 20 mins.

Bad spot- not sure if they have changed the road or done construction, but there is no place for cars to stop. Also a blue sign marking the start of highway, which is technically illegal for you to stand behind.

Great spot, we have the sign and got the ride all the way to Maribor. There is good place to stop and also shopping center is near.

Quite a lot of traffic, but not exclusivly for the Highway. Used a sign with Slov./ Maribor and after 50min someone took us to Maribor but not along the Highway but over Motorways.

a bus station towards Ljubljana, quite ok to hh if you hold a sign, average waiting time around 1 hour.

A good spot towards Graz, Murska Sobota and Hungary direction. It would be better to hh in the traffic circle a few km north, but unfortunatly it's not. Best to hold a sign here.

Fairly good spot for a ride towards Ljubljana - I waited 1 hour, but I have a feeling there are also good spots closer to the centre.

Very beautiful but very quiet border crossing. If a car comes, it will probably stop for you. But waiting for that car will take a long time.

I waited here for 10 minutes with a sign "LJ" even if I was going to Vransko(Celje).
It was around 6PM on a Sunday.
Very good spot from my experience.

We hitchhiked from here towards Hungary. Most people are going to Graz, so we had to wait so long. There were some other guys wo wanted to go to Austria, they only waited 10 mintues.

Got a ride to the roundabout after 15 minutes.

Pretty good spot. We got a ride before we even raised the sign. Of course this was just luck, but this spot has qualities like the distance from the traffic light, a lot of space to pull over, protected place to put your stuff and so on...

I hitchhiked from here heading to Graz / Gradec without any board, just thumb up. The waiting time was about 20 minutes.

locals say this cross-way is the only possibility to get out of the city. direction Zagreb and Lubljana were supposed to work out. tons of cars, but nobody stops. stood there for about 8 hours!! maybe that was why we where to men. we saw women there who got picked up quickly.
