As a male hitchhiker, I waited here for approx. 15 minutes with a sign saying "LJ" on a Friday afternoon.
It was a nice trip and the guy who picked me up drove me all the way to LJ, even if he was living in Kamnik.

This is a good spot to hitchhike towards Maribor.
It's right before the entrance on the highway. The spot is after you pass Vransko. It's actually a small road that goes to the right, from the main road, to a house.
The spot is very good because the cars can see you from the distance and they have enough room to park and pick you up.

A good spot to hitchhike to Ljubljana, as an alternative to the highway.

2 people, a boy and a girl. This is the best spot to LJ. We got picked up by the first car that saw us. There is a bus stop where the cars can stop comfortably. Sign for LJ.

No one is using this road to go to LJ, everybody gos to the highway. It's better to walk up to the Grof hotel and try from the bus station there.

2 people, a girl and a boy. We couldn't get out of Vransko from either of the spots, because they're outdated and no one uses the old road anymore. This way people go on the highway so you have a better chance here. Sign to LJ.

This place is impossible now, there is no good place to stop and almost no one uses the old road anymore. It is better to go up to Grof and try from there.

We were picked up immediately, driver was not going to LJ but she took us a couple kms to the highway so we could hitch from there. If you wait longer here you could probably get to LJ easily.

I don’t know if I can recommend this spot, in order to stop the driver will have to block traffic. But we got lucky and stopped someone who didn’t care :)

We were trying to get to Litija from Prebold via this mountain road. Traffic was very sparse on a Saturday. After a span where there were no cars for 10 mins, we eventually decided to just walk to the other side of town and get to Ljubljana

We were waiting on a weekday afternoon which was suboptimal, as most LJ-bound traffic leaves in the morning and comes back after work. After 60mins we switched to sign to CE and got picked up fairly quickly. Our driver took as all around the area and gave us a place to stay. Long wait but well worth it, awesome experience :)
