The spot on the way to Italy isn't practical, as there's not really room for the car to stop. But it did the trick for us as a car took us away after 5 minutes.―billybilly

a difficult place to stand at. a driver comming from LJUBLJANA took me only until here on a trip to TRIESTE (italy). i had to wait one or two hours until i could catch another car in the right direction. although it is difficult to find a driver, the spot right on the automated peage (road toll/ maut-) station is very safe. i want to rate this place a "4 to 5" on my personal scale (1 = poor, 10 = excellent).―Anonymous

Got a ride to Ljubljana from here. Just walked the road from the castle back towards the villages, thumbing any cars coming from the castle. Didn't want to wait at a spot since it was't peak season yet and the castle had just closed so not too many cars.―VeikkaK
