It is not the greatest spot, but the previous guy took us to a gas station in Torreblanca and that was even worse spot. There wasn't much traffic and not an ideal place to stop, lot of trucks. Most of people were going to Barcelona, we had sign with Castello. After some time a kind lady stopped us and took us to train station in Castello. Boy and girl, afternoon, weekday.―Anonymous

Absolutely terrible spot, we were lucky. Lots of traffic, but cars are going really fast and there is no real place to stop. We had a sign to Valencia, and some guy took us after 30 minutes to a gas station in that direction. Boy and girl, probably weekday and early evening―Anonymous

Direction ValenciaBy Spanish standards, this is a very good hitching spot. Traffic coming from the roundabout is slow moving and there is a wide bus lay-by for a driver to pull over safely. If you are brave enough to turn down the short lifts, you will be rewarded with a direct lift to Valencia.

Before roundabout cars drive slower. To go North to Benicassim. I had to wait 40 mins, people had time to look at you. Most of them giving the "NO" sign.―Anonymous

Headed north. Not the best spot in the world, but far from the worst. Drivers slow down for the bend and have good enough time to see you and there's enough room to safely pull over on either side of the road. Majority of people going north take this route out of town.Waited 4 hours, for a total of 10 hours over 2 days trying to get out of this town. By some miracle the coolest Dutch woman ever came by and stopped for us and drove us all the way to Perpignan, saving us from this hitchhiking hell they call Spain. We got very very lucky. Save your sanity and take a bus or rideshare with BlaBlaCar or fly out of the country. Hitchhiking Spain is a nightmare. If you want to make more than 50km a day and not wait 3+ hours every time, you gotta hit it lucky with a non-spaniard.

Headed north towards Tarragona. Decent amount of traffic, about 30-40% headed in the right direction. Plenty of room to pull over and drivers had good time to see us. We had instruments and a sign. Gave up after 8 hours. Perfectly good spot, but Spaniards just don't pick up hitchhikers.―Anonymous
