Many cars, enough space to pull over. Although cars go sometimes fast of off the roundabout.―jkczech

Tried hitchhiking to the city center, moved on to the souther road later. Sign "Málaga". Spot is nice, but I felt like I can be better off at the other place.―jkczech

It's a bit tricky to get here, but as soon as you are here, you're catching most of the cars going out of the airport going to Málaga, Torremolinos, Algeciras-Cádiz, Almería (at least that's what the road sign at this spot says). There's plenty of space for cars to slow down and pull over. I came here from the other spot just at the entrance to the roundabout, so from there it's possible to walk here along the road edge. But be careful when the traffic is heavy ⚠️―jkczech

I tried here for 40 minutes to get out of the airport. Most of the traffic is private/taxis. I got 2 cars to stop, but didn't go to Málaga where i initially wanted to go. I then switched to the roundabout above (just going along the road, but is a bit tricky, especially crossing the 2 lane exit from the roundabout) read my review there, it's way better spot―jkczech

Tried to get to Sevilla, but that seemed to be hard. Especially to Malaga was easier. At the End I took a ride near Malaga. You should probably talk to the people there, even though it's a bit annoying to always walk between the gas station and the hotel/restaurant since they are more than 100m apart―Friedolin

2 people. We had been waiting there for 3-4 hours. Lot of trucks stands there for a night. It should be easy to catch them, but for 2 people its hard. Many morrocan drivers. We had a cardboard saying „hacia francia” and one employee told us that we are loco xD. Then we changed it to „hącia Granada” and some crazy guys stopped on the highway without reading our paper. When you are solo - easy, comparing to other spanish stations.
Shop in the gas stations is quite expensive (like 2,5e for a 1,5l bottle of water) and tap water is not drinkable. Better to make supplies before.
We heard also about free showers for drivers, maybe its possible to manage it for poor hitchhiker!

Didn't work out so well for me. It's right near a turnout into a commercial area in malaga and it seemed most cars were local. Also not too many cars.―Anonymous

you can get to this service station by taking the cercanias train to El Pinillo (20min, should be 2 euros, there are barriers...). Then walk up the hills towards calle vicente blanch picot. At the end it turns into a rocky path, leading through a tunnel under the motorway. climb up on your left and find a good spot where to climb over the fence.―Anonymous

I arrived at this petrol station, sat down to eat some lunch and make a sign, and a guy walked up to me whilst I was looking at my map and gave me a lift directly to the front doors of the ferry port in Algeciras, without me even having to actively do anything. Easiest hitchhiking experience ever!―Anonymous

small petrol station outside Marbella. not the best spot for long distance, more local traffic. I'd recomend staying on the autopista if possible, but I slept here unbothered and found a ride to Malaga after a couple of hours in the morning.―pixelatedcrab
