stayed there 2 hours and eventuelly took a ride to Cabo de Gata although we actually wanted to go to Murcia. If you want to go to Murcia and find a ride that surpasses Almeria it might be a good idea to accept it, because its not much longer and there are a lot of cars going from Almeria->Vera->Murcia―Janpa

Although it took me about 4h to get a hitch to Almería, this is not a bad place to get a lift. A few km away the motorway splits into two: one goes to Almería, and the other to Murcia: most trucks were going to the latter. Some cars/trucks did also stop here on their way to Granada.―Anonymous

Good roundabout, good for stop but not so much traffic and no shadow to rest in hot days. But it is next to gas station so you can ask people there. I was lucky and caught truck to Guadix (before Granada).―Kubas

Not too much traffic but otherwise good. Many trucks, if youre alone 5/5―Ryan161

Very quiet gas station and slip road heading towards Almeria. Great views of the mountains, but need luck to get a ride as sometimes 5 or more minutes for one car to pass.―paulm

Fast road heading out of Guadix towards Almeria. Plenty of room to stand and suitable for cars to pullover.―paulm
