Amazing spot. After just about 10 Minutes a couple brought me to San Cugat del Valles. Stand there with a Barcelona sign.

We (2 people) got a ride to Barcelona after waiting about 100 minutes and asking people at the parking area and gas station. Most people were heading south or towards Zaragoza. Still, it’s a good spot because you can easily talk to people and there’s a steady flow of cars.

Perfect spot. Sunday morning, lots of international and long distance cars, going in all directions. Couldn't find cardboard so just thumbed, and got a ride all the way to Barcelona, my ultimate destination.

Lots of people offered a ride, but a short one. The fourth one offered to take me to Figueres and I took it.

This petrol station is surprisingly quiet and pleasant (compared to the rest of the Jonquera industrial area). A constant flow of cars stopping by, but not super busy either. The right amount of traffic. Eventhough I had a sign saying "Figueres", where I was planning to take a train, a middle aged french couple took me all the way to Barcelona, my destination.

Convenient spot. All cars leaving the station pass by you.
The description on the website for the way to get here from the station is spot on. Took me 20 mins to walk. Had a roller bag with me, no issues, except a 40m dirt path.

Talked to people at the gas station, found someone going to Perpignan almost immediately.

We stood on a gas station without thumb or sign and some nice catalunyan guy asked us where are we going, we told him we need to get to the countryside so we can sleep and he offered to us that he will took us to his home so we can build up a tent on his garden. We were lucky, it was evening and a weekday, Lots of truck drivers and I think it is not the best spot..

Stood there with a sign to smaller town on the coast, but get a ride in direction Barcelona with a funny german guy in caravan.
Mainly locals went here, it was a weekday in the early evening, a boy and a girl

When i was dropped off by the Mallorcans i was initially nervous, it didnt look like much, but this seemingly empty (albeit very pretty) view point is a surprisingly excellent spot!
You can stand under one of palm trees, behind the barrier before the exit from the view point, be in perfect view of the drivers and in the shade; functionally hitching directly off of the road! I got a ride in under five minutes from a fantastic Catalan man called Juan-Ramon, who took me all the way to Barcelona!
My aim for the day was Tarragona, so being able to make it all the way to Barcelona was absolutely amazing!
In Barcelona i would meet a Greek girl and we would take the train together to Montserrat for El Dia De San Joan..
To Be Continued...

2 people.
We haven’t even finished writing our sign, just randomly waved to some guys. They took us directly to La Jonquera. Seems to be fantastic spot. It is very easy to get there, just use public transportation. We took n23 bus and paid 2,65e for a single ticket. Don’t listen to google maps, you can get to the station by crossing under the bridge. Use satellite from your google maps. Signs saying that camping is forbidden there, but we pitched our tent without any problems. Police even saw us in the morning with a tent. But be careful, maybe we were lucky. We don’t know if it’s safe place or not.
Enjoy your baguette in France 🐸🥖

2 people.
We got there a lift straight to Barcelona, seems to be a good place to reach Valencia as well. We standed on the bus stop, maybe 2 minutes from the gas station. Not so much traffic, many locals, but it should be possible. If someone going to Castalla, they can drop you there. Really quiet area, nice place to have your picnic or camping. Affordable prices in the gas station shop (for ex 6eggs for 1.65e). There is restaurant as well. Enjoy.
