Take the bus to Betis and walk to the roundabout. ask for the direction of the autopista. you can go via the highway or the parallel road, which also works, since lots of people want to avoid the highway toll. but it's slow of course.so maybe use a sign "Cadiz".

Sevillan people, please learn about the existence of a hitchiking culture in a lot of other countries, otherwise some tourists will drop dead in your sun!―CZV

I trusted the coments about this being a good spot. Went there at about 4pm. Got a ride at about 5. Next day. There's almost no place to stop. But there's a place to build a tent.―ViliusG

We were a couple (aged 22 and 23) and we went to that spot according to what Hitchwiki said..we actually walked to there...so you basically have to watch out because there are quite a few oundabouts..so you actually have to pass 2 before you get to th right one..SatNav will work well if you have one in handy)..Otherwise the spot was really good and 10minutes after staying there a great Volvo stopped and gave us a lift to Jerez...great!―Anonymous

Be careful about where you stand, the police is quite picky. 10 min of waiting and a ride to Jerez.―Ewelinalucy

only if you ask people in petrol station directly. To this point bus N29. No buses go further, nowhere further to HH.―Ima

Nice place to wait for a ride. Often people driving out here are locals and don't do long distance rides. (some people said), however got a ride to Ayamonte after a while.―Anonymous

Still people selling stuff there, we had similar feelings about their influence on our hitchhiking. Not a lot of space for the cars to stop. After ~1 we blindly decided to reach by bus from nearby Plaza de Armas a seemingly good spot where wr had more luck.―Ewelinalucy

We (2 peepz) tried hitchhiking on the split of the road directly after the bridge, there is a traffic light, but we didn't manage to get a ride for two hours. Thought about people could stop on the bus line, not sure if that was obvious for them. Also because of the traffic light buses stopped in front of us and you don't really get seen. Local pep recommended the spot (while waiting more outside Sevilla), guess you need more luck. :)―Anonymous
