Decent spot on the pedestrian island by the petrol station - stood with a sign to Granada and was visible to the oncoming traffic who could pull into the petrol station as well as those going directly via the petrol station. Got a lift from a group who saw me on their way in and decided a bit later to whistle my attention over and take me as close to Granada as they could. From there I got a local bus that miraculously actually existed and was the last one of the day! 20:38. Solo female hitchhiker.

Gave it only 4 stars as traffic is quite quick and not so much in the left hand lane which reduces the chances of people stopping I think.

Fantastic spot on the corner of the petrol station. Traffic is steady and there’s plenty of space to stop. I finished writing my sign to ‘Granada’ and applied some suncream and as soon as I held it out the second car stopped and said he was going all the way to Granada! (On his way to Madrid) Literally took 2 seconds. I jumped out near Malaga however since I got a couchsurfing acceptance. I was alone as a female hitch-hiker this was around 10am on a Saturday.

Asked people around. Had a beautiful sign saying "Córdoba", but most of the traffic goes back to Málaga. You have to ask around. Don't wait just at the end!

I met a fellow hitchhiker here, who got here from the hitchspot in the city (1km south). He said he waited only 10 mins (was lucky for a dutch van). So that spot could be possibly better. I haven't tried it.

I'd say it's a pretty good spot if it wasn't Spain. Plenty of traffic, plenty of people going my direction. But thr Spaniards don't take hitchhikers so no success here. Better go to the station and ask directly, it seems like they won't decide to take you by just standing. Even with a sign "Córdoba)

Tried hitchhiking here at night 23 - 00 and it was quite quiet. Local traffic going back to Málaga.

I stood here before sunset, with a sign "Córdoba" on a Saturday afternoon. No car stopped even all were going and had enough space to stop.

I must say that the traffic is quite heavy and the cars may have difficult tome deciding for pulling over, but it's also after traffic lights, so they have time to notice you. I haven't tried asking at the lights.

Many cars, enough space to pull over. Although cars go sometimes fast of off the roundabout.

Tried hitchhiking to the city center, moved on to the souther road later. Sign "Málaga". Spot is nice, but I felt like I can be better off at the other place.

It's a bit tricky to get here, but as soon as you are here, you're catching most of the cars going out of the airport going to Málaga, Torremolinos, Algeciras-Cádiz, Almería (at least that's what the road sign at this spot says). There's plenty of space for cars to slow down and pull over. I came here from the other spot just at the entrance to the roundabout, so from there it's possible to walk here along the road edge. But be careful when the traffic is heavy ⚠️

I tried here for 40 minutes to get out of the airport. Most of the traffic is private/taxis. I got 2 cars to stop, but didn't go to Málaga where i initially wanted to go. I then switched to the roundabout above (just going along the road, but is a bit tricky, especially crossing the 2 lane exit from the roundabout) read my review there, it's way better spot

Pretty bad spot, no place to have to hide from sun and not a lot of cars but I think that there isn't any better here

Mi dormis duonhoron kaj poste Chay dormis duonhoron. Fine, ekvadorano lasis nin apud la universitata hospitalo ĉar Chay bezonis kuracadon por kelkaj vundoj.

Take Bus Nr. 2 until the last station and then walk on the street next to the highway for 1,5 km to the Gas Station.
