It was a bit confusing, since I wasn't sure which carparks were for longer stays, drop-offs, rentals, etc. Most seemed to be rentals. But I walked around with my partner and after about 20 minutes, the third car we showed out thumbs to gave us a ride to a service station in Murcia.―mossenmoons

2 people. We got there a lift straight to Barcelona, seems to be a good place to reach Valencia as well. We standed on the bus stop, maybe 2 minutes from the gas station. Not so much traffic, many locals, but it should be possible. If someone going to Castalla, they can drop you there. Really quiet area, nice place to have your picnic or camping. Affordable prices in the gas station shop (for ex 6eggs for 1.65e). There is restaurant as well. Enjoy.

I hitchhiked towards Murcia. It took 10 minutes or less. I guess it is possible towards Valencia also.―Anonymous

Whoever put the other marker here must be either a really good looking girl or just damn lucky. It's a great spot but hopeless in Spain.―Anonymous

Waited for 3 hours to try and get to Valencia. Not a single car stopped. Also tried other locations along this street from 3:30pm until 6:30pm. Good luck to everyone else.―Anonymous

we waited 2 hours to find lift to murcia or granada, but any person goes there! is useless. Most of people there stop to go back to Alicante or San Vincent/Valencia/ Alcoy―Fabregasowa

Direction Murcia, Valencia, Madrid: there is a gas station right before the crossing of the 2 highway. We were hitchhiking to Novelda, a small village on direction Madrid, and it looked like most of the cars were going in direction Valencia. We eventually got a ride after about 1 hour and a half. The gas station is not really busy, but spain probably doesn't have better to offer―Anonymous

There is a gas station on the opposite side of the entrance of the highway. There are still little cars enetring and then doing U turn, but you better walk 500 meters down the road to look for the gas station on the other side (don't be confused with the one right in front of it, that one is closed)―Anonymous
