It was a bit confusing, since I wasn't sure which carparks were for longer stays, drop-offs, rentals, etc. Most seemed to be rentals. But I walked around with my partner and after about 20 minutes, the third car we showed out thumbs to gave us a ride to a service station in Murcia.

We (Girl & Boy) waited at the roundabout at midnight and at 2 a guy and his son picked us up to bring us to a better location - a gas station that's connected to the road to Murcia.
I'd say its a nice spot. 🌱

Direction Murcia, Valencia, Madrid: there is a gas station right before the crossing of the 2 highway. We were hitchhiking to Novelda, a small village on direction Madrid, and it looked like most of the cars were going in direction Valencia. We eventually got a ride after about 1 hour and a half. The gas station is not really busy, but spain probably doesn't have better to offer

There is a gas station on the opposite side of the entrance of the highway. There are still little cars enetring and then doing U turn, but you better walk 500 meters down the road to look for the gas station on the other side (don't be confused with the one right in front of it, that one is closed)

a crazy guy dropped us around but from this point impossible to go anywhere. to much directions and you stay in the middle of the urban desert.

Direction - Valencia. Sunday about a noon.
I have been asking everyone that stopped in petrol station.
Mostly families without any seat. No one interested to help.
Do not even try to ask them with english ..

Not a good place, at least on Sunday. The restaurant is closed, gas station looks oldschool, 99% local traffic. In the end i got rescued by germans with big old trucks who were searching everywhere for strong air pump for their wheels. If you have a chance to go to next station near Massalaves, go there, it looked much more promissing.

We (Girl & Boy) arrived rather late at the gas station. Because of the bad Flooding i think it had an impact to go further. We asked around and at 21 (10pm) we got picked up to Elche/Elx.
I think its a decent spot and works best if you ask around. 😁🌱

space for cars to stop
sign for Alicante
