To hitchhike towards west, that's problably the only possible place, although not the best one. After the shopping center, continue walking some 15-20 min until the mirador. There's plenty of room for the cars to stop, although they are speeding at about 80km/h.I used this place three times (waiting time from 20min to 1h)

Just next to the roundabout.Good spot to hitchhike to Las Palmas. Used it twice, had to wait both times about 20min.
