In five minutes two cars stopped. One going towards Boadilla del Monte and one going to Guadalajara. Was trying to go to Madrid, if I had waited a tiny bit more I would have gotten one I think. Solo female, Saturday afternoon.―friki

Lots of cars either come to Navas or go out of Navas in direction Ávila. Not much traffic going direction Madrid. Did get a car quite easily. Solo female, Saturday afternoon.―friki

Saturday morning, solo female. This road (M-505) is quite frequented, but still small, good to go direction Avila instead of through the A6. Was thumbing mostly just the cars coming through the road, as not many came from El Escorial. Got a ride to Navas quite easily.―friki

University. In weekdays within the school year, you'll have people going through all day, to Galapagar, Madrid, Las Rozas, Torrelodones... Forgot my wallet after class and gave it a go, should be easy as long as you look "normal".―friki

Majority if the cars are going to Madrid, but some are going to the neighbouring towns north. I was going to Santiago (i know, far) with sign saying "A-6, Santiago, A Coruña" next time I would probably just use Ávila or some closer point.―jkczech

Maybe it was my worst day for hitchhiking in Spain. The gas station is busy but just after 3,5 hours i got short lift to next station in Collado.―Yarex

gas and diesel are too high, too many porches and good cars. we were about 4 hours and we couldn't do it. after that we went from gas station to gas station until we reach a good gas station in Collado Villalba (2 km ahead) in the 42km of A-6 were it was easy to find a ride―Anonymous

A good spot to get out of Madrid direction northwest. You get on the A6 Highway direction A Coruña. You can get close to this petrol station taking bus number 160, 161 or 162 which all depart from Moncloa underground station. Ticket to get here costs 1.50 euro.―Anonymous

I saw this spot from the bus, it is a gas station in A6 highway direction A Coruña, right next to the cercanías (train) station "las matas" so it would be really easy to get there.―Anonymous
