High traffic in this place and gas station but don't try there just go back to Leon for just near the entrance road, we hitchhike a guy going to "Mansilla de las Mulas" according to him everybody on the road goes there. If you are going to Burgos or via Burgos this road is awesome for you, short distance fast cars and people stop :) just take this road till Santiago highway. We were two and got a ride in 15 mins

We were three coloured and entertaining souls who met in Leon on the way to Chaves Portugal. We walked from the center, shopped at Lidl which opens 9am, waited almost 2 hours with a sign "Benavente".
Drivers smiled and waved a lot. Police came by the parallel street and warned "you can't stay here, walk back before the roundabout". After 3 minutes a young guy picked us up and drove us much much much out of his way to Puebla de Sanabria, where PB gas station and restaurant 24/7 is saving us from the rain. He said Benavente is not a place to be stuck in.
