The last possible (and probably also the best) spot to hitch from Nyköping to Stockholm. This is a new bus stop, and nicely located just after the roundabout, so pretty ideal.―Anonymous

I arrived at 18.30 and it was almost dark on that time. I waited one hour and some guys from Morocco pick me up to Stockholm. You can walk around 10 minutes to the bigger road. It's not a big airport and that might be a problem to catch a car.―Carletes

Got a ride in about 10 mins, standing next to the road leading from the airport to the highway, just after the last carpark (next to the connect(?) hotel) so everyone drives by you.―Ilmer

The Google map is a bit old, I think. There is a small roundabout with a gas station between the Connect Hotel and the long-term parking lot (långtidsparkering). I stood for two minutes by the gas station, hoping to catch traffic from the long term parking lot, when a lady passing by on foot offered me a ride to Stockholm. Otherwise, a better spot might be after the roundabout in the direction Stockholm (Nyköping).―Teeshirt

Late july 2014. Great spot, a lot of trucks passing by, though many stay here overnight. Found a ride with a truck going south to Linköping within 45 min.―Maxlandegren

Mid-October 2013. 1 hour walk from Nykopping. Rest area seemed to be promissing. First I stood at the exit so that it would be possible to catch all cars - from gas station and restaurant visitors. People simply pretended not to see me. There was only 1 truck...and it had to rest till next morning. Running between the cars asking people for any possible ride towards south - hopeless. Asked "7-eleven" shop assisnants - they said that sometimes people don't catch a car the whole day...Optimistic, huh??? Then finally 2 men from Montenegro agreed to give a lift to Norkopping. They invited me for dinner at "Rasta Grill"! and once we arrived to Norkopping, gave 500 sek so that I could afford a ticket to Malmo. Good end. But over 2 hours freezing!―Ovelha

I was standing next to Connect Hotel, preparing "Malmo" sign, when a lady came to me and asked where did I want to go. So nice! Though they gave me a ride only to Nykopping.―Ovelha

Got a ride to Hässleholm after 1 hours waiting in summer 2013. Nice bus driver drove me here from Skavsta airport for free. There is a bus stop 100 m before the roundabout.―Adamiksen

The best is to ask the drivers while they are by their cars or even in the airplane. Almost everyone from here goes to Stockholm―Anonymous

Go a little bit higher to the motorway, we were waiting for 5 minutes to get a ride to Stockholm, however as far as I know it's prohibited to stop here :)―Anonymous

rest area with gasstation and foodplaces close to nyköping, called nyköpings bro. Its easy to hitch in both directions. south and north. Good place to be dropped on if you want to find a new ride, not the best starting place from nyköping beacaus its like 1 hours walk to this spot.―Anonymous
