Police asked us what we were doing, but didn't mind. Were told to do it in the parking lot, not the Zoll.―Anonymous

We asked around. At first we got rejected.
Then we met a family who first said bo but after a nice conversation they agreed to bring us to Konstanz.

hard to believe but maybe this is a great spot. no space to pull over rlly but cars stop for the red light so you have some time to charm them with your great sign and pretty smiles.fair amount of traffic and ppl were really friendly - we even got handed a wedge of cheese from a guy waiting at the red light because he was so excited to see hitchhikers.

loads of traffic for switzerland, a lot of people cross the border for work so getting here early you catch commuter traffic to st gallen etc. also a few swiss cars driving by with sg plates, bathroom at the petrol station right behind to refill water and bins filled with cardboard for all your sign making needs :-)―BI

Directly in front of the gate for the first parking lot. It took a little, but it worked out really well (obviously also a bit lucky). You can also try to ask at the parkin lots, people offered us rides but not in the needed direction.―FunkyParrot

Hitched with a sign at the bus stop. Since there was a bus behind our driver’s car, she drove to the gas station just ahead and waited for us there.―stonefruit

Got a lift to Romanshorn on a Saturday afternoon after ca. 15 minutes with a Bregenz sign. Our driver first tried to stop at the bus stop where we were standing and then had to drive on to the gas station just ahead because of a bus behind her.―stonefruit

We tried to get a lift farther West talking to people, no matter if on the Northern or Southern side of the Bodensee. After 40 mins, we accepted a lift to Kreuzlingen to hitch from a better spot.―stonefruit

We tried to hitchhike to Zurich from here but I guess being 3 guys means it's significantly more difficult to get a ride.―Kivvish

nice spot if you want to go to kreuzlingen or konstanz. all the traffic which is passing by goes this direction. there is a big parking lot from some kind of supermarket so the car even has a nice plaxce to stop―Anonymous

A possible spot for hitching towards Zurich and Berne - not a whole lot of space to pull over, though.―Anonymous

We were travelling from Konstanz to Italy, and got left here. There isn't much space for cars to stop, but one did somehow.―Anonymous
